Athabasca Glacier Day 2

Yesterday, while sitting up at the visitor's center reading some literature on the glacier, my fellow Stretchie, Brad, was approached by a man named Brian Luckman, who just so happens to be a legend in the area of moraine dating of the glaciers in the area. In fact, Brad was reading his paper when Brian introduced himself. Brad ended up going tree-coring with Brian and his wife.

We were planning on mapping the foreground of the glacier during this segment, and Brian Luckman was kind enough to give us a personal tour of the moraines and the history of dating the glacier. So we spent the day learning from this legend and running all up and down the moraines of the past extents of the glacier. Talk about luck!
